California Grill is located on the very top of the Contemporary Resort

 In our humble opinion, California Grill delivers on every level: food, ambiance, location – I could go on. The menu is outstanding. The ambiance is spectacular, with a classy yet cozy feel, looking out from a wall of windows from atop the Contemporary Resort (it's on the 15^th floor). You can see the Seven Seas Lagoon, the Magic Kingdom, and of course the Magic Kingdom fireworks (called Wishes) from the dining room.

There’s also a special fireworks viewing area outside on the roof. It’s got to be the best spot to watch Wishes in the entire WDW Resort area. They even dim the dining room lights and pipe in the Wishes music to give you the full experience.

We’ve gone back to California Grill on every single one of our trips to Disney, our honeymoon being the very first time. The food has been consistently good each time, no matter what we order. The flat bread is delicious. The sushi is delicious. The goat cheese ravioli is delicious. Even my son’s pizza off the kids’ menu was delicious.

We recommend this restaurant to everyone we know who’s planning a trip to WDW. Go. You will love it.
